Vijayawada, January 13: With ‘Gautamiputra Sathakarni’ proving to be a hit, a happy N. Balakrishna today celebrated ‘Sankranti’ in his native village in Krishna district with enthusiasm.
He participated in the celebrations in Komaravolu and Nimmaluru villages.
Balaiah,as he is popularly known, garlanded the statues of his father N. T. Rama Rao and mother Basvatarakam.
He went around the villages in a bullock cart. The actor worshipped farm implements and felicitated the farmers. He also reviewed decorated bulls on the occasion.
Balaiah said he was very happy to be in the native village on the happy occasion of ‘Sankranti’. He thanked people, especially his fans for the success of ‘Gautamiputra Sathakarni’.
The actor said the exemption from entertainment tax granted to the epic movie in bothTelugu states was a welcome move. He thanked the chief ministers of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
